Orange: Bayhill Jewelers Ring Theft

Date: March 4, 2010

On March 4, 2010 at approximately 3:05pm a white male suspect entered the Bay Hill Jewelers at 7782 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando, Florida.  The Suspect entered the business and requested to look at a specific ring in the jewelry display case.  Suspect was shown a yellow diamond ring which he looked at and then returned to the victim/sales associate.  The victim still had the ring in her hand when the suspect reached out and took the ring back.  The suspect ran out of the business and entered a grey mini-van, possibly an older model Dodge caravan, which appeared to be driven by a Hispanic male wearing a red hat.  A similar vehicle was recovered stolen in OPD’s jurisdiction

Suspect description: White Male, 5’11 to 6’02, 170-185 lbs, with brown hair, rimless eyeglasses and wearing blue scrubs.

Orange: GameStop Armed Robbery

Date: December 21, 2009

At Approximately 10:15 am on 12/21/09 a black male suspect walked into the Game Stop at 2781 N Hiawassee Road pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. The suspect shot the clerk in the lower body. The suspect is described as a black male, 6', 35 - 40 years old 225- 245 lbs wearing a dark scarf over his face, baggy blue jeans and a black Nike baseball cap.

 
 
 
  Home Invasion Homocide, Mascotte

ENHANCED REWARD $7,000
Mascotte: Home Invasion, Homicide

Date: October 31, 2008

Approximately 9:24pm, Officers of the Mascotte Police Department responded to 828 Anderson Avenue, Mascotte, for a reported Home Invasion Robbery and Shooting. Officers arrived on scene and discovered that two subjects had been shot. One victim survived the shooting and the second died as a result of the shooting. Witnesses and the surviving victim said that a young white female and young light skinned male (White or Hispanic) entered the residence pointing small black in color semi-automatic pistols at the victims and witnesses. The female spoke some Spanish, the male subject had a dark colored covering over his head/facial area and dark sunglasses on. The suspects began demanding money and cell phones. The surviving victim resisted, not wanting to give up his money and the female shot him. One of the two suspects then shot the second victim, who died. The two then fled the residence on foot in an easterly direction on Anderson Avenue and then toward State Route 50.

Orange/Orlando: Nike Stores, Armed Robbery

Date: October 28 & November 17, 2008

On October 28, 2008, at approximately 6:30 a.m., two suspects entered the Nike Factory Outlet Store located at 4977 International Drive, armed with firearms. The suspect held several employees at gunpoint and demanded money.

On 11/17/08 at approximately 5:48 a.m. an unknown black male approached the Nike Outlet, located at 8200 Vineland Road, identifying himself as an employee. The suspect was wearing a black sweater with an orange Nike Staff shirt. Upon entring the business he placed a black handgun to the manager's face and then the second suspect, also a black male, entered the business armed with a silver handgun. The suspects forced the manager to take them to the office where the safe was located. They removed from the safe an undiclosed amount of money. The suspects were described as thin built, approximatley 5'10 - 5'11, dark complextion, 160 - 180 pounds wearing black pants. Witness say the suspects spoke with a Hatian accent. One of the suspects was wearing a black skull cap with a bill front possibly had dreads under the hat. Suspect 2 had dreads underneath the hat.

Ocoee police want to find a woman who hasn't been seen for days. Police say 27-year-old Tracy Ocasio was last seen Wednesday (05/27/09) night leaving the Taproom on Raleigh Street after the Orlando Magic game. However, Ocasio never made it home. Her car was found abandoned on Franklin Street in Ocoee.She was last seen wearing dark hoodie, black tank top, jeans and baseball hat.

Palm Bay : Investigators Seek Arsonist

Date: May 13 , 2008

Local and state investigators are seeking information on recent fires in Palm Bay. Investigators are interested in the area of Beach and Madden (see map), because the fire started late on Sunday, five hours after the other fires, and they think it could be an individual "start" apart from the other fires. An eyewitness saw a man driving a dark-colored Honda or Hyundai sedan. They said he is a white man with a thin build, dark brown hair and "big sunglasses."

Orange: Cash America Pawn Robberies

Date: August, September 2008 & March 24, 2009

On 8/23/08 at 10:50AM, the Cash America Pawn at Silver Star/Pine Hills Rd was robbed at gunpoint by two Black Males. On 9/18/08 at 11:37AM, the Cash America Pawn at Colonial/Pine Hills Rd was robbed at gunpoint by one black male. In both robberies, the suspects demanded cash and jewelry, and fled the scene in stolen cars. A witness in the first robbery observed one of the suspects without his mask and provided the below sketch. A significant amount of jewelry was stolen.(UPDATE) Same location robbed again on March 24, 2009. If you know of anyone recently trying to sell jewelry or having lots of new jewelry with no explanation, the reward for these crimes has been INCREASED to $10,000.

Both Suspects: Black Males, 5’09-6’00, 160-180.

Brevard: Riverside Bank Robbery

Date: November 18, 2008

On November 18, 2008 at approximately 12:00pm, Brevard County Sheriff's Office received a report of an armed bank robbery at the Riverside Bank, located at 50 Goodwin Drive, Merritt Island. A white male suspect entered the bank displaying a note stating to give him the money or he would start shooting. No weapon was displayed however the threat was implied. The white male suspect is described as medium height, heavyset, mid 40’s, last seen wearing a gray pullover hooded sweatshirt, light colored jeans, baseball cap, and sunglasses. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Oviedo: Sign Vandalism

Date: 2008

The Gateway Monument Sign located at Lockwood Road and Geneva Drive was damaged by someone shooting into the LED portion of the sign subsequently destroying it. This is the second time a City of Oviedo sign has been damaged by gunfire. Several bullet holes of an unknown caliber were discovered. The approximate damage to the sign is valued at $10,000.00.

Winter Park: Elderly Victim, Sexual Battery

Date: October 31, 2007

Police on Wednesday released a composite sketch of a man who they said sexually assaulted an 86-year-old woman in her Winter Park apartment. According to Winter Park police, officers responded to a call concerning a sexual battery at about 1:12 p.m. at the Village Lane Apartments located near the intersection of Balfour Drive and Aloma Avenue. The man entered the victim's apartment through an unlocked door, sexually assaulted her and then fled on foot. The assailant was described as a Hispanic man in his mid to late 20s about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build, a dark complexion and he was clean-shaven. He was wearing dark-colored clothing and a black hat.
